This Privacy Policy explains how Paani Tracker (“Paani Tracker”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our apps and related services.
Who we are

Information we collect
- Account and identity information: email address, authentication identifiers, and login metadata when you create an account or sign in using email/password or Google Sign-In.
- Profile information: optional display name, gender, and date of birth if you provide them in your account profile.
- Hydration and settings data: water intake entries (amount, time, type), daily goal, and sync-related timestamps/settings.
- Subscription and purchase data: product/subscription identifiers, purchase token, package name, purchase state, expiry, renewal/cancellation signals, and related server processing logs used to validate entitlements.
- Device information: device ID (or app-generated identifier where needed), device name/model, platform, and last-seen timestamp for account/device management.
- Feedback data: feedback type, message content, optional screenshot URL/path if included by your submission flow, and contact email.
- Notification settings and permission state: reminder preferences and notification permission/alarm capability status required to schedule reminders.
Data stored on your device
- Hydration history and app state may be stored locally on your device (for example using local database and local preferences) so the app works offline.
- If you use backup/export features, backup files are created and handled locally on your device and through the share destination you choose.
How we use information
- Provide core app functionality (tracking hydration, reminders, profile management, and cross-device sync where available).
- Authenticate users, secure accounts, and prevent abuse/fraud.
- Process and verify subscriptions/purchases and manage premium access.
- Respond to support requests and feedback.
- Operate, maintain, and improve app reliability and performance.
Third-party services and processing
We use third-party providers to run key parts of the service:
- Supabase for authentication, database storage, and server-side functions (see Supabase Privacy Policy).
- Google Sign-In / Google OAuth when you choose Google login.
- Google Play Billing for Android purchases and subscription verification/notifications.
- Email delivery provider(s) used by our backend workflows for certain account/subscription-related emails.
How and when we share information
- We share data with service providers only as needed to deliver app features described above.
- We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Legal bases
Depending on your location, we process data under one or more legal bases such as: performing our contract with you (providing the app), your consent (for optional features), compliance with legal obligations, and legitimate interests (security, service integrity, and product improvement).
Retention
- Account, profile, hydration, and settings data are retained while your account is active and as needed to provide the service.
- Operational logs (including purchase verification/event logs) are retained for security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, and financial/subscription recordkeeping needs.
- Local app data remains on your device until you clear app data, uninstall, or overwrite/delete it.
Your choices and rights
- You can update profile information from within the app.
- You can sign out at any time; this does not automatically delete server-side account data.
- You can manage notification permissions in your device/system settings.
- You can request account and data deletion by contacting us. See the Delete Account page.
- Where applicable law provides additional rights (such as access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability), you can request them by contacting us.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s privacy
Paani Tracker is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
International data transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. We take steps designed to protect data in line with applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
